Ambulance trust sets up bank holiday injuries unit

West Midlands Ambulance Service NHS Trust is setting up a temporary unit in Birmingham to treat patients with minor injuries and illnesses during the Bank Holiday weekend.
First launched in 2007, the move is aimed at reducing admissions to the accident and emergency departments in hospitals.
The unit will be stationed on Broad Street on Friday and Saturday night.
