Afghanistan: Blast killed ambulance hero

A soldier was killed by a bomb blast as he drove an ambulance in southern Afghanistan, an inquest heard today.

Corporal Jason Barnes, 25, from Exeter, Devon, had gone to the aid of an injured comrade when his vehicle struck an improvised explosive device.
