Paramedics needed hospital treatment after they were involved in a collision while en route to an emergency call.

The ambulance was rushing to an emergency with its lights and siren on when it was involved in a collision with a blue Mercedes SL500 on the B530 near Ampthill on Thursday (July 9).

I get so annoyed when i see or hear of ambulances that are involved in RTC’s I admit that it is inevitable that they will sometimes crash! But what makes it even harder for ambulance crews to avoid these collisions is incompitant and inexperienced drivers on the road! This should be something that is put in the UK driving test so that people can be trained how to react to the sirens and blue lights.
