Dorset Air Ambulance saves over 100 children in a year

The Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance helped save the lives of more than 100 children and young people in the past 12 months.The vital air service, which is completely reliant on donations, reported a busy year due to more children taking part in regular sport and outdoor activities.Others were airlifted to hospital in medical emergencies suffering from a range of illnesses and life-threatening injuries sustained in traffic accidents.In total it collected 108 youngsters in the helicopter to rush them to the nearest hospital.
